Coriander seeds, called kashnich in Uzbek and by Russian speakers in Central Asia, go into plov together with cumin and black pepper. Uzbek cooks use them whole and ground, especially in marinades and soups, and grinding them just before use keeps more of the aroma. They come in 50 g packs.
